Whoracle's my least favorite classic In Flames album, unless you count Clayman as being classic era, in which case that's my least favorite. I really don't want power metal riffing to turn into power metal yiffing any time soon. I love "Whoracle". It's a close second to "The Jester Race" for me.

Whoracle is the third studio album by Swedish heavy metal band In Flames, released on 18 November 1997. The title of the album is a portmanteau of the English words "whore" and "oracle". Apart from "Everything Counts", which is a cover of a Depeche Mode song, all songs were composed and arranged by In Flames. The lyrics were translated by Dark Tranquillity guitarist Niklas Sundin, after Anders.

Whisky. Fridén is an avid collector of whisky and DVDs - the ultimate combination, some believe - so it makes sense that In Flames would eventually get their own booze. Distilled in 1973, the year Fridén was born, Glenfarclas' single malt Scotch whisky is an admirable 58.8% and limited to just 189 bottles worldwide.

In Flames - Whoracle review: In Flames second release was not only important as a succesor of the genre, on it's own it's also a really enjoyable album. Low riffing, steady drumming, loud screaming, deep bassing and brilliant use of lead riffing.. The cover looks like the Street's 2nd album. Kage October 13th 2006. 1172 Comments. Album.

In Flames started in Gothenburg in 1990 as a side project for Jesper Strömblad - then guitarist with death metallers Ceremonial Oath - keen to throw a little melody into his life. Three years later the fire burnt so brightly that Jesper made this band his full-time commitment, alongside guitarist Glenn Ljungström and bassist Johan Larsson.
